On July 14, the Roundtable Conference on Empowering Chengdu's Industrial Cluster Construction and Chain Strengthening, featuring academicians and experts from Tsinghua University, was held at the Tianfu New City Conference Center. The conference focused on leveraging the strengths of both the university and the city, advancing industrial cluster construction and chain strengthening, and jointly creating a new phase of high-quality development in municipal-university collaboration. It was presided over by Chen Shuping, Deputy Secretary of the Chengdu Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, with Wang Yuyu, Vice President of Tsinghua University, leading a delegation of 16 academicians and experts from Tsinghua. Government, enterprise, and industry representatives gathered to discuss industrial development.  As one of the corporate representatives for Tsinghua University's research (technology transfer), Dr. Huang Xiuqi, General Manager of Chenxian Optoelectronics, attended the conference as a Chengdu enterprise representative and delivered a speech. He provided an in-depth review of collaborative innovation and technology transfer practices between universities and enterprises, exploring new pathways for high-quality integration of university research strengths with industrial application scenarios alongside participating leaders and experts.

Leveraging the comprehensive advantages of Chengdu's industrial ecosystem, Chenxian Optoelectronics was officially established in Chengdu in 2020. Rooted in this fertile industrial soil, the company has successively overcome technical challenges in the Micro-LED field, such as massive transfer, seamless bonding, driving architecture, and mixed binning. Within nine months, it completed the construction of China's first Micro-LED pilot production line and, in 2024, activated China's first TFT-based Micro-LED mass production line. The company has subsequently launched cutting-edge innovative products, including the world's first 270-inch 8K TFT-based Micro-LED display, a 19-inch P0.4 TFT-based Micro-LED transparent screen, and the world's first Micro-LED transparent smartwatch, transforming this "ultimate display technology" from a laboratory concept into an industrialized achievement. Moving forward, Chenxian Optoelectronics will fully harness the industrial resources and geographical advantages of the southwestern region, achieving a systematic leap from scientific research potential to industrial momentum, and empowering the company's high-quality, leapfrog development through collaborative innovation between the city and universities.
